Introduction Professional Development (PD) for teachers has been a topic of recent focus due in part to the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation (2001) and more rigorous standards for earning and maintaining teacher certification. The US Federal Government, within the context of NCLD, defines PD for educators and includes (but is not limited to) the following activities that:
